Large expanses of floor to ceiling windows were integral to the design of this west facing Mercer Island home to take full advantage of panoramic views of Lake Washington, the Seattle skyline, and the Olympic Mountains beyond. This hillside site perched on a curving promontory, provides 180 degree views just above Lake Washington to the landscapes beyond.
The open plan including the main living spaces of kitchen, dining and living areas are all connected and face the view. From the kitchen one accesses a pool and an outdoor covered eating area. These are located on the south end of the property to maximize this site’s available sun exposure.
The four bedrooms are located on the second floor and enjoy sweeping views to the west. The lower floor is partially daylit and contains an entertainment room, gym, and office. The finishes throughout are clean and elegant, befitting our client’s contemporary sensibilities and tastes.
The contemporary stucco and steel exterior is carefully articulated with thoughtfully composed details to create an elegant and timeless composition.
