The Information and Community Technology Center project aims to empower a rural community in Coope, Uganda. By building a center for learning, people will develop skills in computers and technology in an ever more technology dependent world. The community, particularly its youth, will have a new resource and focal point to help develop computer skills and training as well as accommodating other educational, social, cultural and recreational activities. To support this effort, Stuart Silk Architects is pleased to participate in the joint venture project between Architects Without Borders and Engineers Without Borders by providing drafting, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and collaboration with the AWB/EWB teams for design development and fundraising efforts.
